At long last, a new Pegbar Profile is set to be published tomorrow, but in a different way…
Between my last postings on the blog, I’ve considered selling the artist biographies—the “Pegbar Profiles” in question—as either a printed publication (like a fanzine) or as a digital product.
The next Pegbar Profile is Bob Wickersham (1911-1962), an unsung talent who worked in various entertainment media: newspaper strips, animation, comic books, and television commercials. The first portion of Wickersham’s profile will be published on the blog tomorrow, with the remainder intended exclusively for an upcoming print publication (release date to be determined).

In the meantime, here are several samples of Bob's early cartooning for The Junior Times, a Sunday supplement of the Los Angeles Times for young cartoonists. The Junior Club launched the careers of several animation luminaries, like Fred Moore, Bob Clampett, Ed Benedict, Cal Howard, Izzy Ellis, Phil De
Lara, Manuel Moreno, and Frank Tipper, among others.
